Add putty to the knuckle and use a spatula to smooth it down to create a realistic lump.

Use foundation to blend the putty with the finger to create a real effect .

Use the spatula to create a cut in the putty that is on the actors finger.

Use red/black paint to add ‘blood’ to the cut to create the effect that the cut is deep.

this is the outcome of the special effects on the finger. 

The special effect that we used on the actor is safe to use ,  this has been proven because we requested medical history and asked them the state any alleges  they know of before the process we asked if  anything inside the make up products that could cause a problem. We got the actor (Harri) too cut the fake skin himself because he knew where the putty ends and the knife touched the knuckle skin underneath the putty, this made sure that the finger wasn't cut and that no one was hurt during the SFX process.
